In March 2024, Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Ruslan KRAVCHENKO and Governor of the Washington State Jay INSLEE signed an agreement on establishing sister region relations. The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen the overall cooperation between government agencies, scientific institutions, the cluster and business. The priority areas for enhanced cooperation have been jointly identified as research, development and commercial sectors of sustainable technologies, including, but not limited to:
1. clean energy;
2. agriculture-innovation;
3. agricultural machinery, equipment;
4. sustainable bioeconomy;
5. digital technologies.
The parties are committed to developing and implementing concrete projects that bring mutual benefits to Kyiv region and the State of Washington, while contributing to the rebuilding of Kyiv region based on the principles of safety, environmental compliance, comfort, inclusiveness, energy efficiency and technology.
Project goals is to strengthen the overall cooperation between government agencies, scientific institutions, the cluster and business.
